Chapters

As we spread our influence throughout the world, we have numerous individuals who seek to join the cause. To facilitate such charitable help, we have formed Chapters. Southern Cross Humanitarian Chapters are groups of supporters who are specific to geographical regions (Washington D.C. Chapter or Australia Chapter), specific to fields of interest (Dental Schools Chapter, Social Workers Chapter), or possibly religious groups (Catholic Relief Services or LDS Utah North Area). A Chapter is run by a single Chapter President who has gone on one of our expeditions or is signed up to go. Chapter Presidents facilitate the Southern Cross Humanitarian Mission Statement by providing environments of security, love and hope for our children through general fundraisers, sponsorships of children, and increased publicity. They report to the Southern Cross Humanitarian President. The following measures govern our Chapters:

  • Members consist of people volunteering for Southern Cross Humanitarian within chapter boundaries.
  • Chapter Presidents may establish a chapter committee or support group to set and reach chapter goals.
  • Chapter Events should focus on events that reach financial goals and enable community awareness.
  • Chapter Presidents represent Southern Cross Humanitarian in the public eye. Thus, all representations, documents created for distribution, and presentations to be given must be cleared through the Southern Cross Humanitarian President. All presentations should include disclaimers that they do not legally represent Southern Cross Humanitarian.
  • Support for Chapter Presidents include: Fundraising Packets, Business Cards, and Southern Cross Humanitarian email addresses. Communication chain goes from members to Chapter President, who then communicates with the Southern Cross Humanitarian President.

If you would like to become involved, look for the nearest applicable chapter in list below. If you would like to become a chapter president and really work hard for this cause, contact Laura.   (Above right: California Bay Area Chapter President Quinn Brady and Board member Mandy Gulbrandsen)
